Since its inception in 1939, Louis & Henry has been one
of Kentucky's preeminent architectural firms, and is the only
active Kentucky firm to have been recognized by the American
Institute of Architects for a NATIONAL AWARD FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE.
Louis & Henry was only the second firm to be awarded the
prestigious DISTINGUISHED FIRM AWARD from the Kentucky Society
of Architects, and has been the recipient of more than 50
various awards for design excellence from many sources.
In 1988, the name was changed to The Louis & Henry Group
to reflect their expansion into Real Estate Development and
construction. LHD Development was also formed, and has successfully
put into place more than $55,000,000 in multifamily housing
over the last ten years. Recently, Park Place Lofts, a very
similar development to PULSE, sold out in record time in Louisville
reflecting the company's unique skills at blending fresh,
innovative design with affordability and market savvy. It
is estimated that together they have completed over 25,000
multifamily units.
Rich Kremer, FAIA serves as President of both entities, and
Larry Leis, FAIA as Chairman of The Louis & Henry Group
and Vice President of LHD. These gentlemen have routinely
been recognized by their peers through numerous design and
development awards, and they are two of only seven living
Kentucky architects to be elected to the College of Fellows
of AIA. Both are the only two architects to have been elected
to national AIA leadership positions with Rick serving as
Vice President, and Larry both as Treasurer and Chancellor
of the College of Fellows. Additionally, both were honored
with the Julian Oberwarth Award for Lifetime Achievement from
the Kentucky Society of Architects. They are lifelong residents
of Kentucky, and actively drive and oversee every Real Estate
Development undertaken. Their personal integrity and commitment
to excellence shines through on every project, for they recognize
they are creating homes not just housing.
Century Construction
Century Construction has been a Northern Kentucky based general
contractor for the last 37 years. A strong sense of quality
and attention to detail, we are proud to have Century as part
of the PULSE team. Century has recently completed the long
awaited Wedding Mall a short walk down Pike Street to Madison,
and is currently involved with several other urban condominium
